Strivectin-SD Stretch Marks Cream

Strivectin Reviews

Strivectin SD Stretch Mark Cream was launched back in the year 2002 by the Klein-Becker Company. Initially formulated to be used on stretch marks, some people have found out that the cream also had positive effects on the face. Touted as being “better than Botox”, people started using the product for treating wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Today, Strivectin SD is just one among the numerous products carried by the Strivectin line.

For those that have been considering purchasing Strivectin-SD Stretch Mark Cream, here is some advice: save yourself the purchase. You will not be getting all that much for your consumer dollar. More importantly, you won’t experience the diminishment of your stretch marks.

What It Entails

Probably the most novel component to the Strivectin-SD stretch mark cream product is that it claims to have the ability to not only eliminate stretch marks, it can reduce wrinkles as well! Such bold "2 for 1" proclamations certainly contribute to the consumer interest in the product. And honestly, you do need to give the manufacturers a bit of credit. Their innovative approach definitely brought forth a concept that the public would be interested in.

The problem is that the results are a mixed bag that doed not completely live up to the hype. The product may have some impact on dulling age lines, but it is certainly not the most effective product for eliminating stretch marks. And it certainly will not be a replacement for Botox as its advertisements suggest!

How Does Strivectin SD Work and What Are The Ingredients?

As with all topical solutions, the product is to be rubbed into the area of the skin that is afflicted with wrinkles and stretch marks. This is to be performed 2 times per day over a multi-week period. The intended goal here is to promote cellular regeneration which would play a critical role in the potential to eliminate wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.

What makes this product unique is that it employs an active ingredient dubbed PAL-KTTS. This is a chemical component that originated in France and is found domestically in StriVectin-SD Stretch Mark Cream exclusively. As with other skincare products, the purpose of PAL-KTTS is to enhance the proteins in the skin in order to boost elasticity and skin health. Whether or not it can actually do so may vary from consumer to consumer.

However, NO product that claims to be able to eliminate stretch marks can do so without adding vital proteins to the skin. So, the ‘original’ components to StriVectin-SD Stretch Mark Cream are really not so original after all.

Strivectin SD Pros:

  • The product has been reported to reduce wrinkles to a noticeable degree. Unfortunately, the potential to reduce stretch marks is not as common. But, the two-pronged approach can be considered a positive.

Strivectin SD Cons:

  • This is one VERY expensive product as it costs over $100. Beyond the aforementioned two-for-one component, is there really anything this product offers that is different from other topical creams on the market? And does it deliver any significantly noticeable results? The answer is no on both counts.
  • New users and pregnant women are recommended to see a doctor or a health care provider before using this product.

Strivectin SD Side Effects

Strivectin SD contains active ingredients that can cause skin irritation. There have been reported cases of side effects, especially when the product is used on the face. Mild headaches, redness of the skin, itching, irritation and rashes on the skin have been noted on users. Nausea as well as eyelid droop and vision impairment has been noted as rare side effects due to allergic reactions on certain ingredients of the cream. These side effects are more prominent especially if the product is used on the face, and usually progresses with continuous use.

While the Strivectin SD Stretch Marks Cream can also be used as an anti-aging cream at the same time, it is also best to consider the side effects brought about this cream. Side effects can lower levels of comfort, and can also be dangerous if left to progress. For safer and risk free treatments, there are many alternatives in the market that can produce better results that Strivectin SD. There are products in the market that diminish stretch marks at much lower prices and without any side effects at all.

  1. I’m writing to inform you that StriVectin-SD was completely reformulated last year with upgraded science, including 4x the peptides and an all-new NIA-114 niacin-based skin repair technology born from 30 years of skin cancer research. Therefore, your review of the product is outdated and irrelevant. For more information about the new formula and its extensive clinical validation, visit

As a representative of the StriVectin brand, I would greatly appreciate an update to the information you disseminate.
    Thanks and kind regards.

Strivectin is terrible, does nothing, improves nothing, has left my skin dry & a huge disappointment. My Drs. said it was worthless & will accomplish nothing.

WELL!! After reading all the reviews, I decided to give it one. I have been using StriVectin-SD for 15 years. Not only does it work. It feels great on the skin. There is no miricle here. Dont get me wrong. It does just what it says. It helps with fine lines. It does not deminish them. That takes Botox, and thats temporary, as well. I am 49. I give credit to StriVectin for my youthful look. Thanks StreVectin -SD.

I am a StriVectin user and I love it! I always had sensitive skin so I use very sparingly. If I use a little too much I will be a little irritated. I use it 2x daily, day and night and put in on before moisturizer. I have noticed a definite difference in my skin, its plumper and I get complimented on my skin all the time!! I even went for a facial last week and the estatician said I had great skin for 39, and I totally said ” I use StriVectin “.!!!

Due to the cost I’ve been a holdout to try this product. I have two friends who have used this product and have been pleased with the results. I began using the cream within the last month and am happy with the results. I believe my skin looks better and have received compliments on how I look. I cannot guarantee that a major change to my skin has occurred yet I am happy thus far, I do wish that it was lower in price. While Goggling Strivectin this page appeared and I am going to see about more reviews. Thanks for the info!

I began using Strivectin BEFORE it was updated last year and loved the product. I found significant improvement in the skin around the eye area. However, I find the new “improved” formula to be just the opposite – the results are far inferior in my opinion. If someone from Strivectin is reading this, please bring back the original formula or let me know if there is some way to get hold of the original. Thanks for the opportunity to express my opinion!

I have been using Strivectin/SD on my face for 8 years plus. I have fantastic youthful none lined skin. People very regularly ask me what I use as my skin as i only have very faint fine lines for my age, I put this down to Strivectin SD. I am 53 yrs old and my skin is that of a 35yr old. My skin is younger looking than many of my friends which are 16 years plus younger than me! I wouldn’t be without this product.

It has been out for many many years and was originally used for stretch marks only, then it was used by female film stars (from the 60′era) to reduce the signs of fine lines on their faces. It was successful! That’s how it has progressed and how I heard about it – my Mother told me!

I have used StriVectin three times. I woke up this morning with my eyes puffy like I had been crying. When I used it again this morning after my shower, I got a reddish rash all over around my eyes. I waited a bit and it seemed to get worse so I washed it all off. (thinking it was going to help). Then I used my old Mary Kay moisturiser. It didn’t get worse, and hours later has gone down, but not all the way. I used the eye cream around the eye area, and the regular StriVectin for the rest of my face. I also used the neck sculpting cream. My neck was a little red and slightly itchy. Overall I can see I’ve had a reaction to this product. I am so bummed because I’ve waited six years to try this, (since I was pregnant). However, the first time I put it on there was zero reaction at all. It felt wonderful and the smell was fantastic. I’m sad that I have to discontinue:(

i used the face and neck cream.was itchy from the moment one. the lady at the dept. store told me its ok. go ahead and continue using it. but at the 4th day of use
i began breaking out on my face .dont like it at all. neck one is so grissy.

  13. I have been using StriVectin-SD for 10 years. I just loved it. But now I’m totally disappointed. I got new one Strivectin -SD and creme for neck from my daughter like birthday present. Because I used it for years I did not made the test. I put creme on my face and about 1 1/2 hour nothing happened and I was happy. After that my face gone red, but not just red, purple, hot. They say that small warm can occur and it disappear after 1 – 2 hour. It’s already four days and my face still purple, I look like I gone thru fire. I don’t know what to do. I totally ruined my face. I’m afraid that it’s never going to be like before.
